Obviously we do not produce regulators. But we wanted to select an excellence even among these productsWhat really is the right regulator is not so simple to say, we have made our choices. we were oriented towards versatile, functional and high-performance products.

In 2015, I was contacted by a company based in Taiwan. They are manufacturer and their regulators are the catalogs of many companies.  I was so curious and I ask to meet a contact person. In March 2016, the founder’s daughter and the sales manager join me in Italy and bring with them the regulators I requested as a sample for test.

For more than one year we test the products in all conditions. We dismantle them and verify the degree of wear of the components: WE WERE SATISFIED.

WE FOUND THE RIGHT REGULATORS . We decide to have a small “personalization” and the second stage has on the purge button the classic cyan equilateral triangle that identifies all 232bar brands. As always there are no compromises, we focus exclusively on high-end products by selecting two first stages one Diaphragm  and one Piston: 

– Balanced Diaphragm  First Stage, DIN 300 with 5th door, rotating turret and Anti Freeze;

– Balanced Piston First Stage with rotating turret and 5th door; 

– Balanced Second Stage with micro-adjustment knob for inspiratory effort.

HIPER 100

In a traditional first stage, the increase of intermediate pressure is equal to the increase of ambient pressure. During use of first stages with an increase in the intermediate pressure, there is a LP increase greater than that of the ambient pressure. This increase compensates for the greater respiratory effort required by the increase in density of the air breathed in depth. 

Maximum limit CE Standards EN 250:  3.00 J/It. The HIPER100 regulators produced by WM are tested on ANSTI machine to simulate immersion breathing. The equipment measures the inhalation and expiration efforts separately with varying depth, supply pressure and water temperature. The results of the tests are processed to evaluate the total work of the respiratory cycle (Work of Breathing). 

The 1st stage with balanced piston guarantees high performance and high reliability at any depth and pressure of the cylinders. The balanced piston system generally uses lighter and more reactive components than any other type of regulator, with the final result of a reaction time to rapid breathing and a greater flow rate. 

In the second balanced stages the air coming from the first LP pressure stage counteracts the opening of the valve. The dispensing effort is considerably reduced, with the result of a second stage much more reactive to the inspiratory action, soft and sensitive, especially in depth. 

Sensitivity can be adjusted during the dive using the external handwheel. When swimming on the surface, the handwheel can be screwed on to reduce sensitivity, while at depth the handwheel can be completely unscrewed to compensate for the increased density of the inspired air. The greater the sensitivity, the lower the initial breathing effort. The external Venturi effect adjustment control optimizes air injection. The result is ease of breathing and the prevention of spontaneous delivery phenomena.

The internal components are protected from the external environment. Air is one of the best thermal insulators. The Dry Room System, adopted on HIPER200 regulators are approved for use in cold waters, is based on this factor and ensures the best possible thermal protection. The regulator mechanism is totally isolated from the external environment and maintains its efficiency unchanged over time.
